The site is maintained by Eric Nakagawa (Cheezburger), and his partner Kari Unebasami (Tofuburger). It is one of the most famous lolcat sites on the web, and receiving 1,500,000 hits per day.
According to TIME magazine, the site is acquired by a group of investors with 2 millions dollars at September 2007. I have included some lolcat images for you to have a look.
